31 Days : Proverbs 14

31 Days in Proverbs

Today is Proverbs 14:

Verse 4

“No cattle, no crops; a good harvest requires a strong ox for the plow.”

A good harvest requires a strong ox. A good spiritual harvest requires a strong and faithful follower. He is working to make us strong so we can see a good harvest. All things are to strengthen us, even if they first break us.

Verse 21

“It’s criminal to ignore a neighbor in need, but compassion for the poor—what a blessing!”

Challenging. To not ignore when I really just can’t face it. Challenging. To see compassion as a blessing. Sometimes being compassionate seems like a burden, to have situations tug on your heart so strongly, to see hurt and pain and have it make your own heart ache. Compassion is a blessing, take joy in it.
